Dear AAPU Members,
The 2011 Beaver Creek meeting organized by Eugene Minevich was a great success, striking a healthy balance between stimulating academic presentations and discussions and relaxing winter sports and social activities. Everyone seemed to have a terrific time!
I would like to recognize the great leadership that Eugene has provided our Society. He has elevated its academic stature by formalizing CME certification, preserved its healthy financial footing with the help of loyal industry support and fostered an upbeat social agenda at annual meetings.
Next year, we plan to continue this tradition in the exotic venue of
Costa Rica. The Marriott Los Suenos (
http://Marriott.com/sjols) is a beautiful 200 room beachfront resort
on Costa Rica's west coast within the rain forest. It offers a
championship golf course, tennis and a magnificent spa. A variety of
spectacular outdoor activities are easily accessible including rain
forest zip-lining and tramways, white water rafting, horseback riding,
sports fishing and boating. The social agenda will include three
different and delightful evening events, a day sail to exotic Tortuga
Island and ample time for you and your family to explore the coastline
and rain forest.
